Status

What is built, and what is not

Nothing is released yet. This is where it actually stands.

Working today

The paperwork
Estimates, work orders, invoices, counter sales, payments, statements, the time clock.
Engines
Blueprints, measurements, build sheets, and an engine's history across every visit.
Parts and buying
Catalog, stock, costing, counts, purchase orders, supplier bills, cores.
Tax and books
Multi-state sales tax, exemptions, the filing report, a CSV export that balances.
Paper
Build sheets, invoices, tickets, tags and barcode labels.
Running it
Windows and Linux installers, backups and restore, permissions, an audit log.

Being built now

The phone app
Photos and fingerprint sign-in work. The rest of what it should do at a bench does not yet.
Updating
The updater works. How much of it you drive, and how much happens on its own, is not settled.
Release notes
An update arrives without telling you what changed.

Not built

None of this exists today, and some of it may never.

QuickBooks sync
The export writes CSV. There is no live sync.
Taking card payments
Card money is taken on your existing terminal and entered here.
A week view
There is a month grid and a day board. Nothing in between.
Payroll export
The clock records the hours. Getting them to payroll is manual.
Dyno results
Nowhere to record a pull.
A link for customers
Nothing to send somebody showing where their engine is.
Text messages
Email is built. SMS is not.
iPhone, iPad and macOS
Planned, and none of it is built. Android is what exists today, on phones and tablets.
